Melissa Hume

Melissa Hume is a Vancouver-based ceramic artist working out of a shared studio in Strathcona. After training at Langara College, the Alberta College of Art and Design, and Emily Carr University, where she graduated in 2006, her practice has grown from functional pottery into a body of work that spans both functional and sculptural pieces, shaped by nature, historical ceramic forms, and a pull toward the objects and rituals that make a house feel like home.
